After more than fifteen years – not just managerial experience – I want my energy to focus mainly on activities and projects that have some wider or deeper sense. I am very happy to share with other people, but not necessarily, creative work that does not prevent an implementation of a set of regulations and multilevel decision-making. I am a proponent of autonomy with full responsibility. I am not afraid of big numbers – within my competence, I managed turnovers in the level of hundreds of millions Czech crowns a year. I offer empathic cooperation based on correctness and trust. I approach the challenges in terms of wider contexts, I am interested in the surrounding influences and back impacts. I enjoy being a coach for my colleagues, and it also fills me to be inspired by others. I perceive every life situation as a part of a development on my personal journey.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT AND MERGERS

In the position of General Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia within the Bisnode Group in 2013 I managed to consolidate and optimize major business processes unified by 7 companies on two markets. The change was directly related to all employees, customers and partners. It was necessary to form a new management team. There was a gradual exploitation of selected business synergies and of the hidden marketing potential. A part of the transformation assignment was a partial change in the corporate culture.

Formally, there were two core mergers that resulted from the operation of three companies, compared to seven before the transformation. Branding of the new brand was also strongly encouraged.

The formal transformation itself took several months. The benefits of unifying the product portfolio was a little easier than in other cases. Narrating of all processes took approximately two years.

The transformation change resulted in the creation of economically strong and stable companies that are perceived as good, reliable and successful on the market.

I´m happy having chance to work with David from 2011 when we had acquired company Creditinfo which he led as CEO. Thanks to his skills and competencies David added a lot of value to Bisnode and is since 2013 responsible for Czech and Slovak activities of Bisnode.
 
David is team player with really good delegation skills. His leadership style is build on „leading through the team“ approach – always providing his colleagues space to grow and actively helping them in this. He is open & honest and he thrives when being provided by freedom and confidence to develop his area of responsibility. He is really succesful in translating complicated challenge to understandable problem and lead team to solve one – which helps in making for example strategy targets understandable through organization.

MARKET CONSOLIDATION
(THE ACQUISITION OF COMPETITORS)

In 2014 within my role as General Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia in Bisnode I took part in the acquisition process of two competing client portfolios and products together with a narrow specialized team in a relatively short period of time (around six months).

Negotiations, which were at critical moments in a few phases, ended fully according to the original target and to the market we were able to announce these acquisition achievements even within a few weeks.

The acquisition target wasa gradual transfer of clients from existing competitive platforms to group platforms. The result can be evaluated very positively. There was an increase in the quality on the market as well as further valuable penetration and the growth of the profit margin.

I have known David for over four years. As an attorney, I worked with him for a company he led as country manager and board member on many projects, ranging from acquisition of a competitor, through launching new products, to arbitration proceedings against third parties. During our cooperation, I appreciated many of his personal qualities. David is a quick learner. He always sees the big picture. He is able to identify the important issues in unclear or rapidly changing situations and to address them efficiently.

Most of all, I would like to point out his ability to stay calm under pressure. In dealings with third parties, we experienced together a number of tense situations. His ability to almost ignore the pressure and stay focused was often crucial to achieving our goals, be it an advantageous contract for his company or success in arbitration proceedings. It has been a pleasure to work with David, and I am confident that he will be a great asset to any company that hires him.

REFRESH THE COMPANY

In autumn 2009, I was offered a new assignment to take over the management of Creditinfo Czech Republic. Part of the assignment was to increase the company’s economic performance and its overall recovery.

Even within a small and young team (approximately 60 employees) it was possible to make relatively rapid changes. First steps were partly organizational and followed by content changes.

We focused on the product portfolio, business policy, and marketing tools. Part of the transformation was rebranding, which helped bring new value to both – the company and the brand.

Creditinfo`s economic growth was also visible on the market which was relatively fragmented. Successful changes were further culminated in the acquisition from Bisnode Group side, which brought undoubtedly interesting new value to the local Czech market.

I had the privilege of working with David for the last year and a half. I hired him as a managing director for our former company Creditinfo Czech Republic that we recently sold as a part of a transaction to Bisnode AB. David came into the company at a point were some changes were needed to modernize and refresh the product portfolio, sales strategy, pricing policies, terms and more or less give the company an overall overhaul. He managed within a year to do some drastic changes that delivered improved results and turned negative trends to positive trends. What was most remarkable was that he did a lot of changes without any disruption to the daily business.

David is very organized and efficient and very good at delegating tasks to the right people and enabling them to reach their goals. He is very open minded to new ideas but takes his time to digest things before putting them in motion ensuring that he is usually very successful with what he decides to do. David is one of the best managers that I have worked with in my 15 years carrier as a senior manager in different countries and I can recommend him with pleasure.

JOINT VENTURE COMPANY
(FOUNDING – NOW THE MARKET LEADER)

As CEO of NEWTON Media I was responsible for three markets (Czech, Slovak and Polish), I personally participated in the establishment of a joint venture company called Admosphere . Admosphere was established – in cooperation with Mediaresearch with shares 50: 50 – to create a new competition in the monopoly market for media advertising monitoring and the market for itself.

The start was a quite painful, the preparatory phase took approximately 12 months. It was necessary to create an entire process infrastructure. Parallel negotiations with the largest client players on the market had to be negotiated.

After this phase I disconnected from the project. We can evaluate this performance very positively. The goal we set out at the beginning was fulfilled within a few years!

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT
(THE MARKET LEADER)

At the earliest stage of my management career in 2001 I worked as a product manager of NEWTON IT with an interesting challenge – the raw torso of the future product – specifically the front end application for distributing of media monitoring.

At that time the product was modular and allowed very good personalization. Together with a small team of developers we were able to move this solution within a few months in advance.

The product itself offered itself very well to Czech customers and soon became a key distribution and client platform which brought – after the initial phase of placing on the market – turnover of several tens of millions Czech crowns per year.

The product was a key platform of the NEWTON Media Group for a very long time and this solution also allowed expansion to other markets outside the Czech Republic.
